Stimulate Your Mind with Spa Vacations

The Caribbean Islands offer plenty of spas and retreats where one can indulge in relaxing therapies to stimulate both the mind and body. Visitors can make the most of their stimulating spa vacations by selecting the right spa for their needs. Many of the spas on the islands are within resorts or situated close to the resorts thus making it easy to access the spa.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa, vanilla, and ginger are some of the indigenous herbs and spices used in the therapies at the 7,000 square feet RockResort Spa in The Landings Resort in St. Lucia. The treatments at the spa are based on traditional St. Lucian massage techniques and modern methods. The La Soufriere & Lime treatment is a signature therapy at this spa.

Spa VacationRenowned as a leading spa and wellness center, the Six Senses Spa at Puntacana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic has individual rooms and outdoor palapas near the beaches. It has a Zen inspired ambiance and therapies like the Six Senses Signature Package, based on the Six Senses Spa pyramid and Six Sphere Philosophy.

The Golden Door Spa at El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico occupies 26,000 square feet and believes in the adage ‘wellness is wholeness’. The Pineapple Body Bliss is among the popular therapies at the spa, which uses its own products that are all prepared from indigenous plants and herbs.

Situated amidst two acres of tropical greenery, the Aveda Amenity spa at the Caves resort offers a boutique spa experience to visitors. The spa uses Aveda products for most of the treatments and “The Cave Massage” offered to visitors within the secluded caves is a specialty here. Ocean Magazine has rated it among the top five spas in Jamaica.

The Mandara Spa at the Marriott Aruba Ocean Club focuses on a three-part menu, which combines the best of the East and West while trying to stay true to its Balinese origins and incorporating local inputs. Awarded the Caribbean Travel and Life award for the “Best of the Caribbean” in 2005, this spa is the largest professional spa in Aruba.

  1. If relaxing could be this easy; people would have never let fatigue take a toll on their body and mind. Especially, with the opening up of Six Senses spa in India visitors at Jaypee Greens have increased with manifolds. You can also relish the rejuvenating spa anytime at Jaypee.
